Venezuela
Los Roques & Isla Margarita

For those with a sense of adventure
and looking for something different.

Many countries claim to encompass everything you could desire in a destination: towering snow-capped peaks, verdant tropical forests, exuberant citylife, spectacular beaches and balmy weather all year-round.
Yet few places truly deliver on all these as much as Venezuela.

A real microcosm of the South American continent, this country of 26 million spirited people is waiting to be discovered.
For those with a sense of adventure and looking for something different Venezuela is the place to go.

Caracas, the nation’s capital, is also its largest and is a modern, heaving city of 6 million. Set in the deep into the valley of the same name the city is the gateway to this amazing country.
A short flight away to the north is the protected nature reserve of Los Roques. Consisting of 350 islands this amazing archipelago strewn across the aquamarine waters of the Caribbean is the perfect place to relax and unwind. The islands contain no high-rise developments and so all the hotels are more like small beachfront B&Bs within walking distance of the only settlement, Los Roques village.

Remote, unique, unspoilt and utterly charming these islands are full of surprises. Watersports are the main activity with sailing, fishing, windsurfing and parasailing on offer.
Basically, it’s the ultimate chill-out destination.

If however, you’re looking for something more lively, look no further than Isla Margarita, located east of Caracas. As the most popular destination in Venezuela, the island offer great bars and restaurants as well as the all important stretches of pristine, golden beaches. Both beach resorts can be reached from Caracas, which is serviced with regular flights from Ecuador and Peru.
